2016-2017 PTA Reflections Contest Results

Thank you to ALL the children who participated in this year’s National PTA Reflections Art contest! We had over 100 entries across 7 categories which is more than any other year before!

First, I must say a HUGE thank you to the Administration (Mary, Deannah, Ann Marie, Andrea, and Cindy!) at both the Elementary School and the ECLC. Without their continued support of this program, the PTA wouldn’t be able to provide it to our Schools. A special thanks to Laura Vittorioso who was the Staff Representative for this program — THANK YOU LAURA! Also a special thanks to our fabulous judges for taking on such a huge responsibility and project 🙂

Second, a big thank you to YOU – the Parents – thank you for supporting not only the PTA but the Arts in our schools. The Arts in Education has always been very close to my heart and I’ve always believed that the Arts should be celebrated as often as possible. Encouraging children to be creative is paramount to ensuring their continued success in school — and, well, it’s just fun!

And finally, I must say thank you to the Students. What an amazing group of kids our town has! Their excitement in participating was inspiring! They all did an amazing job with creating artwork from the theme “What is your story?” Each student really put a lot of thought and creativity into their work and I was blown away!

Here are some of the photographs that were taken of the Honorable Mention recipients and School Winners that are moving on to the Statewide Competition in March up in Derry, NH.

I feel honored to have been a part of this program and look forward to next year!
