First of all, thank you for your interest in becoming a member.
Now, let’s get real for a second here.
Rather than calling you a “Member” we like to call you a “Supporter”. Members can give parents an icky feeling that they are joining something that will require more from them than they are willing or able to give. Not on our watch.
Now, don’t get us wrong. While we’d LOVE to see you at meetings and sincerely hope that we do, we also get it. Life is busy and for some parents the meeting dates and times are just simply not do-able. Don’t stress! Become a supporter by signing up and know that there are so many other ways to be involved or to help that don’t involve any meeting time.
Throughout the year there are many opportunities that we reach out to the community for donations or supplies, and maybe even something cooked (or in my case bought at Market Basket.) These are all great and VERY appreciated ways to be involved without volunteering your time.
(Downloadable and printable PDF of membership form coming soon)
Whichever option you chose, please know from the bottom of our hearts that our support means the world to us. Without your support we couldn’t continue to support the schools.
I am a firm believer in the saying “It takes a village to raise a child.” The SAU, administration, educators, and bus drivers are only a part of that village – and they can’t do it all without some help. That’s where the PTA comes in and we hope you will come to consider your PTA as a part of the village as well!
